Strawberry Cosmopolitan

Ingredients
  

500 mL carafe for two
  • 60 mL vodka
  • 20 mL Cointreau or triple sec
  • 200 mL cranberry juice
  • 80 mL strawberry purée
  • 45 mL fresh lime juice
  • 35 mL strawberry sugar syrup
  • 60 mL chilled water
2-litre party jug
  • 240 mL vodka
  • 80 mL Cointreau or triple sec
  • 800 mL cranberry juice
  • 320 mL strawberry purée
  • 180 mL fresh lime juice
  • 140 mL strawberry sugar syrup
  • 240 mL chilled water
To serve
  • Strawberry rose or strawberry lime sugar for the rims
  • Fresh strawberries
  • A twist of lime

Method
 

  1. Combine the vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, strawberry purée, lime juice, strawberry sugar syrup and chilled water.
  2. Stir thoroughly and refrigerate until very cold.
  3. Serve in chilled glasses rimmed with strawberry rose or strawberry lime sugar.
  4. Garnish with strawberries and a twist of lime.

Notes

Note: Recommended sugar: Strawberry rose or strawberry lime sugar.
Tip: For strawberry sugar syrup, gently warm equal quantities of your chosen strawberry sugar and water until dissolved, then cool before using.
Tip: Add ice to the glasses rather than the jug so the drinks stay balanced.
